That's what these are.

Send one to a friend going through something hard. Someone you've been meaning to say thank you to. They'll put it somewhere they can see it, and it will still be there weeks later.

Probably months.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that the One who was promised came, fulfilling centuries of waiting, generations of hope, prophecies spoken long before anyone could see how they'd come true.

This Christmas, let us remember what it felt like to wait for You, the anticipation, the longing, the hope that refused to die even when the waiting stretched on so long.

Teach us that You keep every promise, even the ones that take generations to fulfill, even when waiting feels endless, even when we wonder if what was spoken will actually happen.

The One who was promised didn't just come once in history, He continues to come into our lives, our circumstances, our waiting seasons, fulfilling what He said He would do.

Help us hold onto hope the way those before us held on, trusting that what You've promised us personally is just as certain as what You promised through the prophets.

Remind us that if You kept this promise, the biggest one, the one that took centuries, You will keep every promise You've made to us individually as well.

Give us patience while we wait for promises still unfulfilled in our own lives, faith that trusts Your timing, hope that remembers You always come through.

Let us celebrate today that the One who was promised came, and trust that the same faithful God still keeps every promise He makes.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
