Damage and Returns

Lord, I am a child of the King, carrying royal blood, belonging to the highest throne, with access to the Father who rules over everything.

This isn't something I became through achievement but through adoption, chosen into Your family, given a status I could never earn.

Teach me to live from this identity rather than for it, to stop trying to prove I'm worthy of being Your child when You've already declared me Your own.

I have privileges others don't understand, access to the throne room, authority in Your name, an inheritance that's secure, a Father who hears every prayer.

Help me carry this identity with confidence, not arrogance, knowing that being royalty comes from whose child I am, not from anything special about me.

Remind me that this identity is permanent, that I can't lose my status as Your child through failure, that You don't disown Your children when they struggle or fall.

Give me courage to approach You as a child approaches their father, boldly, without fear, knowing I'm always welcome, always loved, always belonging.

Let me live today as a child of the King, secure in my identity, confident in my standing, grateful to call the King of kings my Father.
